The position of Fatima Bint-e-Muhammad (SAW) is very high in the eyes of all Muslims. She was born in Makkah on Friday, the 20th of Jamadi al-Thani, in the fifth year of Ba’ath. She was married to Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib. Allah Almighty blessed the children of Hazrat Fatima. Hazrat Fatima had three sons and two daughters. Namely, Hazrat Hassan, Hazrat Hussain, Hazrat Mohsin, Hazrat Zainab and Hazrat Umm Kulthum. Hazrat Fatima’s descendants survived in the world through Hazrat Hassan and Hazrat Hussain. “Hazrat Fatima Al-Zahra (RA) was a figure of shame and revelation. She was very concerned about veiling. No non-mahram has seen her in her lifetime”.
Titles and Nicknames:
Her famous titles include Zahra and Sayyed Al-Nisa Al-Alamin (the leader of women of all worlds) and Batool. Popular surnames are Umme al- Aim , Umme al-Sabtin and Umme al-Hasnain. Her most famous title is Syeda Nisa Al-Alamin because of a famous hadith in which Hazrat Muhammad told her that “She is the Syeda (leader) of women in this world and in the hereafter”. In addition, the Lady of Paradise, Al-Tahira, Al-Zakiya, Al-Mardiya, Al-Sayyida, etc. are also found as titles.
Childhood of Fatima Bint-e-Muhammad:
Hazrat Fatima Al-Zahra (RA) was initially trained by the Holy Prophet (SAW) and Hazrat Khadija (RA). In addition, the first Muslim women were involved in her training. Her mother Hazrat Khadija passed away in her childhood. She saw the early days of Islam. And she endured all the hardships that the Prophet (SAW) endured at the hands of the Quraysh in the early days.
Resemble with Prophet (SAW):
Hazrat Fatima Zahra was very similar to the Holy Prophet in appearance, habits, manners, speed and speech. Many of the attributes of the Prophet (SAW) were evident in her personality. Her father (Muhammad) may Allah have mercy on him, said that:
“Fatima is the leader of women of all worlds.” He also said that Fatima is the head of all women in heaven. He also instructed his daughter that: “Fatima! Whoever you are angry with, Allah will also be angry with him. ”
The service of the Prophet (SAW):
Hazrat Fatima Zahra used to serve the Holy Prophet (SAW) from her childhood. Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood says that once the Holy Prophet (SAW) was busy praying in the courtyard of the Ka’bah. At the request of Abu Jahl, Aqaba Banabi Mu’ayt brought the carbage of the slaughtered camel. And placed it on the blessed neck of the Prophet during the prostration. Someone informed Hazrat Fatima (RA). She came running and took off the carbage from the Holy Prophet (SAW) and threw it.
Similarly, once the Holy Prophet (SAW) was passing through a street in Makkah. There an unfortunate person threw dirt on his blessed head from the roof of his house. The Prophet (SAW) came home in the same condition. When Hazrat Fatima saw this condition, she started crying and washed his head and clothes.
Piety of Hazrat Fatima：
The worship and piety of Hazrat Fatima had reached such a level that the remembrance of Allah was always on the blessed tongue. If the verses of punishment were recited during the recitation of the Qur’an, the body would tremble and tears would flow from the eyes.
Marriage of Fatima Bint-e-Muhammad:
Hazrat Fatima was married to Hazrat Ali (after the Battle of Badr) in the month of Safar (according to some Zul-Qaeda or Zul-Hijjah) 2 AH. And five hundred dirhams (according to some 480 or four hundred dirhams) Haq mehr was fixed. However, the leave came after the battle of Uhud. According to Ibn Katheer, Hazrat Fatima was fifteen years and five months old at the time of marriage. And Hazrat Ali was 21 years old. The marriage ceremony was performed in a very simple manner in the Masjid e Nabvi. After the marriage, honey syrup and dates were distributed to the audience.
Hazrat Fatima (RA) married life:
Hazrat Fatima did not diminish her husband’s obedience and service. Her husband was Hazrat Ali Murtaza (RA) Sultan Al-Faqra. You supported him in poverty. You did all the housework with your own hands. She cleaned the house herself, cooked food, washed clothes, and fetched water. While doing all these things, she was focused on worship and remembrance of God.
Death:
The death of the Prophet was a great tragedy. Which proved to be sad for Hazrat Fatima Al-Zahra. Six months after the death of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) she passed away . Its date is 3 Jamadi al-Thani 11 AH. She buried in Jannat al-Baqi.
The will of Hazrat Fatima:
On page 731 of Sira Khair-ul-Anaam, the will of Hazrat Fatima is recorded. In which there is a high standard for women today. Before her death, Hazrat Fatima Anha bequeathed to Hazrat Asma bint Umays that her blessed body should be raised in such a way that no one could know whether it was a woman’s or a man’s funeral. Also that she should be buried at night. Therefore, the upper part of Mubarak’s body was covered with palm branches in such a way that his body could not be seen. Ghusl was performed by Hazrat Asmaa bint Umays, Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Salma Umm Rafi according to the will. Funeral prayers were offered by Hazrat Ali (or according to another narration by Hazrat Abbas).
