ISLAM
The meaning of Islam is “the submission to the will of Allah.” Islam is the most beautiful religion in the world. The people who follow the teachings of Islam are called Muslims. Muslims believe in Tawhid the oneness of Allah the Almighty. Muslims contend that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the final messenger of Allah Almighty. Muslims acknowledge that Allah’s words are in the Holy Quran which was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Muslims acknowledged in the day of judgment.
The Islamic teachings are based upon the Quran and Sunnah. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in his last sermon:
“I have left with you two things if you follow them, you will never go astray: the book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet.”
The above narration tells the Muslims that the only way of success and guidance for the Muslims are in the Quran and Sunnah.
IMPORTANCE OF ISLAM:
Islam is the most beautiful and peaceful religion. Words are not enough to describe the importance of Islam. The importance of Islam is very massive. No religion in the world has the honor except Islam. Islam is different from all religions because Islam is the religion of humanity, the religion of mysterious prosperity, the religion of spirituality. Allah the Almighty mentioned in the Holy Quran: “Whosoever kills a human being it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whose save the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.” [Al-Maaidah 5:32].
The reason for success in both worlds is Islam and its teachings. Islam is important in all ways. Islam teaches about the lifestyle of our Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) which everyone should have to follow for the best rewards. There are five important pillars of Islam.
- Shahadah
- Salah
- Ramadan
- Zakat
- Hajj
The Muslims have a firm belief in these Islamic pillars (Arkan ud din). Islam tells us about the basic rights of human beings. Islam is the religion that gives rights to all human beings and Islam teaches that everyone has to acknowledge those rights. There are rights of parents, rights of husband and wife, rights of children, rights of the neighbor. All these things show the importance of Islam. Islam teaches kindness to mankind.
The Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) said:
“He who is deprived of kindness is deprived of goodness” [Sahih – Muslim]
The above saying proves that the one who is not showing kindness is not a good person. In Islam, many things are haram, some of them are lies, backbiting, intoxicants, haram relationships, music, suicide. Islam stops the Muslims by these acts because it is haram for a reason. Doing haram things destroy the peace of mind and as well of Akhirah. Islam gives reward to Muslims for every single good act.
This world is not the resting place for the Muslims it is a testing place for the Muslims. This world is hell for the Muslims and it is the Jannah for non-Muslims. There is a great reward for the Muslims in the Akhirah. Islam gives us and mentioned with details the rights of all humans. Even Islam teaches us to be good and show kindness to non-Muslims and doesn’t fight with them if they don’t fight with you. Islam teaches us to show mercy to animals too.
